The overwhelming majority (81%) of Hong Kong residents say that they would cease dealing with an organisation such as close their account, if they became aware that their personal information had been accessed by unauthorised people. But there is also overwhelming support for banks to implement mandatory requirements for individuals to also take basic steps to secure personal data.
