Summary
The Unisys Security Index showed that Colombians are increasingly aware of the risks on the web in such a way that the vast majority would be willing to accept government intervention in social media. The study also revealed that 73 percent of respondents in this country would close their account and would stop dealing with organizations that used their personal information in a wrong way.

- 81 percent of Colombians Claim Government Regulation of the Social Media Websites
- Few Colombians (15 percent) fully support the idea of sharing personal information with third parties (police, public services, border control) to increase national security
- Practically all Colombians say they would take action of some kind after learning of a security breach, with a large majority saying they would close their account and 60% saying they would take legal action.
