In Belgium, the latest Unisys Security Index reveals a growing appetite for tighter regulation of social media. In addition to this, the study has found that many can very quickly lose trust in companies that suffer a security breach.

- Only 10 per cent of Belgians surveyed trust social media companies to protect them from cyber criminals
- 73 per cent would take their custom elsewhere if the company they do business with has experienced a security breach
- 52 per cent would publicly expose the security breach to others
