What's new in the report

The overall security index score for the Netherlands is 70. This represents a very low level of concern among Dutch adults on virtually all safety issues and makes the Netherlands the most relaxed country among the other European countries surveyed. Identity theft is the biggest security concern for the Dutch public, ranking above meeting their financial obligations, computer safety and national security. Despite the concern s over ID theft, more than 96 percent of Dutch consumers are willing to sacrifice their privacy for personal security when traveling. We might conclude that Dutch people's trust in the government and its agencies is high.
