The Unisys Security Index^TM presents a social indicator regarding how safe consumers feel on key areas of security.

Conducted twice a year the Index provides a regular, statistically robust measure of concerns about four areas of security:

National security regarding security and epidemics
Financial security regarding bankcard fraud and ability to meet personal financial obligations
Internet security regarding spam, virus and online financial transactions
Personal security in terms of physical risk and identity theft

Nearly half of French consumers worry about fraudulent use of their credit and debit cards - the most serious concern in France
Over two thirds of French adults still prefer traditional tools such as passwords and pin numbers to verify their identity with banks and other organisations
