The Unisys Security IndexTM presents a social indicator regarding how safe consumers feel on key areas of security.
 
Conducted twice a year, the Index provides a regular, statistically robust measure of concerns about four areas of security:
  • National security
  • Financial security
  • Internet security
  • Personal security
  • 79% of Brazilians are seriously concerned about the risk of a health epidemic occurring in Brazil
  • The risk of misuse of credit and debit card information is the greatest security concern among Brazilians. 84% of Brazilians surveyed said they are seriously concerned
  • 87% of Brazilians said they are willing to sacrifice some level of privacy to increase safety when travelling by air

What's new in the report

The Unisys Security Index for Brazil is at 177, indicating that Brazilians are seriously concerned about security threats. Brazilians are most concerned about fraud involving their bankcards or identity theft. They are less concerned about Internet security, which is reasonable since many Brazilians do not have access to the Internet.
